Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr ‘Get Back’ at London Concert
Former Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr got back to where they once belonged Sunday night (Dec. 16) at London’s O2 Arena.
McCartney first was joined by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood before announcing to the crowd that another special guest was in the house.
“I believe we’ve got someone else here who can help us out… ladies and gentlemen… the ever-fantastic Mr. Ringo Starr!” McCartney announced as Starr came to the stage with a peace sign salute.
“We might as well do a song together,” as Starr got behind the drum kit.
The two then jammed out “Get Back” to enthusiastic applause. The song was the third encore of a 40-song, setlist, including several from McCartney’s new Egypt Station studio album.
“I don’t know about you, but it was a thrill for me,” Starr said.
