Ozzy Osbourne in Intensive Care Unit, Source Says
Ozzy Osbourne’s battle with the flu may have developed into pneumonia, a source told the British newspaper The Daily Mail.
Ozzy was transferred to intensive care after his bronchitis symptoms became worse. He has been in a Southern California hospital for 11 days.
“He’s been really struggling with flu, which turned into bronchitis,” the source said. “Doctors feared he could contract pneumonia which, in a person over 7o, can be fatal.”
Ozzy is getting the best treatment, the source continued, and said he appears to be “getting better day by day.” If all goes well, he can be discharged this week.
“He’s smiling again, and he can’t wait to get up on stage,” the source said.
Osbourne is still scheduled to perform shows with Megadeth in May. His UK tour with Judas Priest has been postponed.
