New Jersey Hall of Fame Gets its Own Category on Upcoming Jeopardy! Episode

CLUE: This Garden State institution is to be featured as a category on the Feb. 8 episode of a venerable TV quiz show
CORRECT RESPONSE: What is the New Jersey Hall of Fame?

If that seems like a Jeopardy! question, that is because the New Jersey Hall of Fame is going to get its own category 7 p.m. Friday night (Feb. 8) on the ABC program, the Hall announced today.

The category will have five questions tailored to the Garden State (Who is Bruce Springsteen? Just a guess).

The Hall will announce its 2019 class this month, and is planning to hold its 11th annual induction ceremony and concert in September. Last year’s ceremony—held at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park–honored E Street Band and Sopranos actor Steven Van Zandt and Debbie Harry of Blondie.

While the Hall continues to update and expand its exhibits at Newark Liberty Airport,¬†permanent museum –scheduled to open in the summer of 2020–will be located on the lower level of the American Dream retail and entertainment complex in the Meadowlands. The new NJHOF home will cover 16,000 square feet and feature attractions such as a virtual reality theater and hologram theater.

Jeopardy! is celebrating its 35th Anniversary, with host Alex Trebek appearing in over 7,500 episodes to date.
