Little Steven Drops Surprise Live Album Ahead of Tour

Little Steven Van Zandt and his Disciples of Soul are  kicking off their tour Jersey style with a show this Sunday (April 29) at The State Theatre in New Brunswick, and they are marking the occasion with a big treat for fans!

Today, the band dropped a surprise album– SOULFIRE LIVE! — a 24-track live project recorded last year chronicling Steven’s first solo tour in nearly 20 years.

The collection contains original Little Steven songs, including “Standing in the Line of Fire” and “I Don’t Want to Go Home,” as well as some tasty covers, including Etta James‘ “Blues Is My Business,” James Brown‘s “Down And Out In New York City,” and The Electric Flag‘s “Groovin’ Is Easy.” SOULFIRE LIVE! also includes Van Zandt’s brand of storytelling, with some sweet musical insights interspersed for fun!

SOULFIRE LIVE! is available in digital and streaming formats now, with a 3-CD set and vinyl edition to be released this summer.
