Lindsey Buckingham Doesn’t ‘Miss’ Being in Fleetwood Mac

Lindsey Buckingham isn’t pulling any punches when fans ask him his thoughts on his acrimonious split from Fleetwood Mac.

Buckingham has been quite active on Twitter, and when a fan asked him if he missed being in the band, he didn’t hold back.

“I can’t say that I ‘miss’ being in Fleetwood Mac, as I’ve been concentrating on fulfilling my own plans that were already in the works before the split happened,” he said. “So, in a sense, the situation is still too new to miss especially since I don’t have much regard for the way the band is presenting itself now.”

As a matter of fact, he feels that the band’s “legacy” is now tarnished.

“What I’m sad about is the split completely dishonors the beautiful 43 year legacy we built together, one that was always about rising above difficulties in order to pursue a higher truth,” he concluded.

Fleetwood Mac–with its new lineup including Tom Petty and The  Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and Crowded House frontman Neil Finn, alongside remaining  Mac members Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood– is set to appear at Madison Square Garden March 11.
