Led Zeppelin Reveals Secrets of Debut Album (Video)
Did you know Led Zeppelin were only together as a band for less than three weeks before they recorded their iconic debut record?
These facts and other tasty tidbits were revealed in the first of a series of new videos posted by the band on its YouTube channel.
It is all part of the group’s 50th Anniversary celebration!
Among the fascinating tips: Led Zeppelin I was recorded in 30 hours, and was self-financed at 1,782 pounds — equivalent of around $2,300 in today’s money.
“We deliberately aimed at putting down what we could reproduce live on stage,” shares Jimmy Page in the clip.
