Jon Bon Jovi and Son, Jesse, Announce: The Hampton Burger (Video)
Jon Bon Jovi and his son, Jesse Bongiovi, are pairing their branded Rose’ wine, Hampton Water, with hamburger chain Umami Burger to create new cheeseburger: The Hampton Burger.
“This is a burger that reminds me of growing up in the Hamptons, going out there, hanging out with buddies, you’re going to the beach, you’re grilling up,” Jesse Bongiovi said in a video showcasing the burger. “We wanted to come up with something that really felt like that.”
The Hampton Burger features a Miso Mustard Wagyu Beef Patty between two layers of American Cheese and Kewpie Mayo ((a Japanese condiment made with rice vinegar, thought to be smoother and creamier than regular mayo) topped with roasted tomatoes, diced raw onions, a pickled beet slice, Feta crumbles and finished with shredded Iceberg lettuce and green chili vinaigrette – all between a freshly toasted bun.
The Hampton burger–available through July 14–costs $13. One dollar of each sold will benefit Jon Bon Jovi’s charitable organization SOUL Foundation, which works to break the cycle of poverty, hunger, and homelessness throughout the United States.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Umami Burger for the Artist Series collaboration,” said Jesse Bongiovi in a statement. “What makes this partnership extra special for us is that a portion of the proceeds go to JBJ Soul Foundation, which is very near and dear to our hearts.”
Other celebrities who have participated with Umami Burger’s Artist Series include: Cindy Crawford, rapper Jaden Smith, international acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud, actors Andy Samberg and Cameron Dallasand music group, The Black Keys.
