A new documentary about Joan Jett is set to premiere this January at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
Bad Reputation–which focuses on the Queen of Rock and Roll’s career-will debut Jan. 18 through Jan. 28 at the annual film festival. It is directed by Ken Kerslake and written by Joel Marcus.
The film will give fans a “look at the life of Joan Jett,” according to a release.
The film chronicles Jett’s rise in rock “from her early years as the founder of the Runaways and first meeting with (manager/producer) Kenny Laguna in 1980 to her enduring presence in pop culture as a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer,” it continues.
Screenings for the festival will take place in Utah’s Park City, Salt Lake City and Sundance Mountain Resort.
