Here is How The Waitresses “Christmas Wrapping” Can Get You in the Charitable Spirit

Bah, Humbug!

Ok, that’s too strong, because that’s our favorite holiday, and even if 1071 The Boss isn’t playing any Christmas music yet, we think this is kind of cool.

Every year, Chris Butler of The Waitresses holds a charitable contest, which he dubs, “The Wrappie.”

This year, the 2019 “Wrappie” Award Contest will commence at noon on Black Friday, November 29.
Here is how it works, according to Chris:
“The first person to contact me saying they’ve heard The Waitresses’ version of “Christmas Wrapping” in a public place, on the radio, etc. gets $200 donated in their name to The Akron Library’s Children Section” he explains.
An extra $50 gets added for the first European “sighting” = The James MacMillan Tip.
If you hear it before noon on Nov. 29, it doesn’t count, he adds.
