Fleetwood Mac Back on the Charts

Now here we go again: Fleetwood Mac is back on the charts!

Thanks to a meme that is catching fire on Twitter, the band’s 41 year old hit, “Dreams” is back on Billboard’s Hot Rock Tracks chart at #14.

The meme in question was started by a Twitter user, @bottledfleet on March 22 that wrote, “”Fleetwood Mac’s music is so boring, you can’t even dance to it,” to which the user responded by writing, “Me, an intellectual,” and sharing a video of a college color guard squad dancing synchronized dance moves to a clip of “Dreams.”  As of today (April 40, the tweet has been retweeted more than 130,000 times and has amassed over 310,000 likes. The result? 2,000 download sales and 1.9 million streams.

The song is from the band’s 1977 album, Rumours.
