Downtown Freehold Announces Free Summer Movie Series

Summer is only two months away, and Freehold Township is getting ready for the season with the announcement of its free Wednesday night movie series, kicking off June 19.

‘Happy Days’ Star Coming to Downtown Freehold Jazz and Blues Festival

Downtown Freehold’s Family Movie night will be a weekly series through August 21, according to its website. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs and set up outside of the Hall of Records on Main Street. Chairs for persons with disabilities and local sponsors have also been reserved for the event.

Downtown Freehold Announces ‘Thursday’s Rock!’ Summer Concert Series Schedule

The season will open with the screening of  E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, and will include family friendly fare, including Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, Back to the Future, and The Goonies. Also scheduled: a special screening of “A League of Their Own,” starring Geena Davis, Lori Petty, and Madonna on July, just in time for the July 4th festivities.

Movies begin at 8:30 p.m. and end around 10:30 p.m.
