Dee Snider to NFL: Next Year Make Halftime Metal

Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider is challenging the National Football League to step up its halftime game in 2020, naming a list of bands that would fit the bill in a Twitter Smackdown.

On Snider’s wishlist besides his own band: Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Ozzy Osbourne, to name a few.

“Hey ! Your go-to songs at EVERY game are metal: Enter Sandman, Cum On Feel the Noise, Thunder, Crazy Train, We’re Not Gonna Take It, We Are the Champions, Final Countdown, I Wanna Rock, We Will Rock You, Welcome to Jungle, he wrote. “NONE of those bands have EVER played half-time show!”

Queen, he said, is the right fit for the big game.

Snider went as far as to slam former halftime performers Beyonce and Katy Perry as not being a first choice for getting the crowd pumped for the action, with the exception of Prince.

Snider’s ire drew support from former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach.
