Debbie Harry of Blondie was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame at The Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park Sunday night (May 6) as part of the New Jersey Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017.

Other inductees included Gloria Gaynor, The Four Seasons, and more. Whoopi Goldberg hosted. Joe Piscopo, Mariano Rivera, John Roberts, Mark Ballas and Tommy James were on hand as well to present.

During her induction speech, Harry talked about a common Jersey problem–allergies—and her love of the Jersey Tomato–so much so that she always wanted to name one of her albums, “Jersey Tomato.”

We caught up with Debbie for a quick interview about the band’s latest album, “Pollinator,” Joan Jett,  and demonstrates how she loves to throw off her clothes.
