David Crosby, Cameron Crowe, The Farrelly Brothers to Appear at the Asbury Park Music and Film Festival
The stars are aligning for the Asbury Park Music Festival with Almost Famous director Cameron Crowe and David Crosby front and center for a Q and A session on April 27 at the Paramount Theatre.
Crosby and Crowe will be presenting the new documentary: David Crosby: Remember My Name at 7 p.m. Crowe was a co-producer on the film.
Also appearing at the festival: Jakob Dylan of The Wallflowers and The Farrelly Brothers, hot off the Best Picture win for the movie, Green Book.
Dylan is the producer of the documentary, Echo in the Canyon, which explores the music of the Laurel Canyon music scene from 1965 to 1967. Dylan will be on hand for the film premiere, and will celebrate the music of the time performing the songs of The Byrds, The Beach Boys, and The Beach Boys with special guests Cat Power, Jade (of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros) and others 7 p.m. April 25 at the Paramount.
Additional entertainment includes Danny Clinch’s Tangiers Blues Band, The Mercury Brothers and Sunshine Spazz performing blues, rock and more at “The Po Boy Jam” at the Stone Pony, April 27.
The festival–which runs through April 25-28 festival–benefits music education and the youth of Asbury Park.
