David Bowie Subway Cards Available to NYC Commuters

David Bowie is getting his own Metro Card.

Subway riders can grab a pre-paid plastic homage to the Thin White Duke at two New York City subway stations: at Broadway-Lafayette and Bleecker St.  The cards will be randomly dispensed at booths and vending machines.  Each card costs a minimum of $6.50–or two subway rides in the city.

Bowie at the beginning, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, the Thin White Duke, and Bowie as a clown from 1980’s “Ashes to Ashes” video. 250,000 cards will be distributed.

The cards arrive just in time to promote the new, David Bowie Is exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum.
