Cold Fizz Time Again: Gene Simmons Launches Soda Line

It may not exactly be cold gin, but KISS rocker Gene Simmons is introducing the “Champagne of soda” with his new line of soft drinks, Money Bag Soda.

The tasty beverages–cola, diet cola, root beer and ginger ale, with a cream soda treat available at 7-Eleven stores–will be rolled out to s Wegmans, Tops Friendly Markets and Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shop in the northeastern U.S. and the Los Angeles area. It is currently available at 7-11 stores in Southern California.

To create the line, Simmons teamed up with the Rock Steady Sodas company in Niagara Falls, New York.  Two of the company’s co-owners, brothers Paul and John Janik, are huge KISS fans.

“We never dreamed it would be possible to work with someone we have idolized for decades,” says Paul Janik in a statement. “We are honored to have had the opportunity to develop such a rock star-worthy product for soda lovers to enjoy and fans to collect.”

Shout it Out Loud: there are also plans to expand the line throughout the U.S.
