Busy Beatles: Paul McCartney Plays Secret Gig; Ringo Starr Rocks Paris; Paul to Sing Carpool Karaoke?

The Late Late Show with James Corden is returning to London this month, and the big chatter is that Sir Paul McCartney will be the latest celebrity to join in on the Carpool Karaoke fun.

The clues to the rumor couldn’t be more obvious. McCartney and Corden were spotted filming in various Beatles-related sites in Sir Paul’s hometown of Liverpool, U.K. According to the Liverpool Echo, The two men were seen together strolling down Penny Lane, visiting Paul’s old house, taking selfies in front of the life-size Beatles statue at the Liverpool waterfront, and the biggest tip off of all– driving around the streets of the city in a Range Rover.

McCartney is certainly quite randy these days–the former Beatle surprised fans with a concert Saturday in front of 50 people at a pub called The Philharmonic. Paul’s set included two brand-new tunes. Additionally, a blank white square has now mysteriously shown up on his Facebook page. Could it be a big celebration of the 50th anniversary of The White Album on the horizon?

In other Beatles related news, Ringo Starr had a special guest join him onstage in Paris. Joan Baez hopped on stage to perform “With A Little Help From My Friends.”

Also on the horizon–a new John Lennon book –Imagine–will be published on what would have been Lennon’s 78th birthday.
