Bruce Springsteen’s Childhood Home is Sold
Everybody wants to have a home, and now someone can say their house is a part of rock and roll history as Bruce Springsteen’s childhood home is now sold.
The two family home at 39 Institute Street–Springsteen lived on the left side at 39 and 1/2–finally sold for $225,000, according to The Asbury Park Press. The asking price for the Freehold abode was a bargain at $269,000.
Springsteen lived there from 1955 to 1962. He talks about the house–and how he first watched Elvis Presley on television there when he was 7–both in his book and his show, Springsteen on Broadway.”
