Bruce Springsteen Talks “Raiding” Elvis Presley’s Estate in Graham Norton Clip (Video)
Bruce Springsteen is in London promoting the premiere of his new film, “Western Stars,” and made a stop on The Graham Norton Show to chat about it.
When Springsteen–who is seated next to actor Robert De Niro on the couch–was asked about that time he jumped over the fence at Graceland to pay a visit to Elvis Presley, he obliged with all the details. He tried everything–even telling the security guard that he had been on the cover of Time and Newsweek.
“For you young folks, they were magazines,” he joked.
He also talked of his desire to wear the famed gold lame suit, and emulating Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger’s moves.
“Every front man worth his salt has stood in front of a mirror at some point in time with a broom or a tennis racket and spent hours moving to little 45s in his room,” he said.
Other guests on the show included Sienna Miller, Paul Rudd and James Blunt.
A gala for “Western Stars”–including a Q and A with Springsteen-is scheduled for this evening in London (Oct. 11).
“Western Stars” will premiere next week here in the United States with local showings Oct. 19 and Oct. 23. Get tickets HERE.
