Bruce Springsteen Live in Trenton Now Available for Download (Video)

Bruce Springsteen sightings in New Jersey are a common sight at the Jersey Shore, but a rarity indeed in the state capital.

That changed on November 22, 2005, when Springsteen’s “Devils & Dust” solo tour tumbled into the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ (now dubbed the CURE Insurance Arena).

The show began with a fitting tribute to the late Link Wray, who passed away on Nov. 5, 2005. In true Springsteen style, he honored the guitarist’s memory by opening with a powerful version of Wray’s rock and roll instrumental, “Rumble.”

The 26-song collection–which includes a sweet sing-along of family members on stage performing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” (he later joked that family sing-alongs never actually happen at his own home)–includes “Born In The U.S.A.” and “Fire,” and rarities like “Zero and Blind Terry,” “All the Way Home” (a staple at Southside Johnny shows) “Thundercrack” and “Songs For Orphans,” the latter of which is being released for the first time.
