Bruce Springsteen Draft of ‘Born to Run’ Up for Sotheby’s Auction

Bruce Springsteen fans have a golden opportunity to score a very rare handwritten draft of “Born to Run,” in an online auction curated by Sotheby’s in New York City.

The auction closes June 28, but the document will be available for viewing at an event this Friday night (June 22). Mark Richardson, Exectutive Editor of Pitchfork and Amanda Petrusich, author of Do Not Sell At Any Price: The Wild, Obsessive Hunt for the World’s Rarest 78rpm Records, will be on hand for a conversation delving into Springsteen’s creative writing process.

The event–which will take place in an apartment on the 40th floor of the Woolworth Building–will continue with a guided viewing of Springsteen artifacts led by Sotheby’s Head of Books & Manuscripts department Richard Austin, as well as an open-bar reception. Special guest musician Kevin Morby  will perform.

Tickets are $125 for the event. Click HERE.
