If you were planning on attending Billy Joel’s concert at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, hang on to your tickets and plan to see the rocker—and the Rockefeller Tree–in December.
According to a spokesperson, Joel is under the weather and cannot perform this week’s show.
“Billy Joel has been battling a viral infection and is forced to postpone his concert at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, June 6th, at the mandate of his doctor,” reads a statement.
The show has been rescheduled to Dec. 20. Joel’s monthly residency will continue with a show on July 5.
Tickets for his 47th consecutive show Nov. 18 at Madison Square Garden will go on sale this Friday (June 9).
